Vaclav OVCACIK

Vaclav OVCACIKBorn in 1941. After studying piano and organ with Professor Maria Halamkova in Ostrava, he studied at the Prague Academy of Music with Professor Joseph Kuban and Professor Jiri Reinberge. Music education and musicology at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Olomouc.

Winner of Ostrava organ competition in 1958. Prior to his retirement, he was organist at the Cathedral of Velehrad Sanctuary (CZ) as well as music director and conductor of the Basilica, organizing international organs cycles.
